The HKU Distinguished Visiting Scholars Scheme was introduced in December 1996 to fund scholars having top distinctions in their disciplines to visit the University for 9-12 months over several years.  These visits provide opportunities for our researchers to interact with world-class scholars to enhance the University’s research capabilities and portfolios, and to establish links with leading institutions in the discipline.
