Angewandte Chemie

Biography:

Charlotte Gers-Panther studied chemistry at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf where she completed a PhD in heterocyclic chemistry and fluorescent dye synthesis in the group of Thomas J. J. Müller. She then moved to the lab of Mike Haley at the University of Oregon as a postdoctoral fellow to study extended polycyclic hydrocarbons. Charlotte joined Wiley-VCH in 2016 as Assistant Editor in the EurJOC and EurJIC joint editorial team. She was appointed Deputy Editor of EurJOC in 2019 and took on the role of Editor-in-Chief of ChemCatChem in 2021. In December 2023, she became a member of the Angewandte Chemie executive committee responsible for brand development launching Angewandte Chemie Novit in March 2025.
