Abstract:

Monodispersed magnetic colloidal nanoparticles can be rapidly assembled into one-dimensional ordered photonic crystals and swarming magnetic nanorobots upon the application of external magnetic fields, showing continuous adjustable, bright structural color in the whole visible band and navigable movement. This presentation introduces the preparation methods and principles, optical properties and control strategies of the long-range steric hindrance monodispersed magnetic nanoparticles and their magnetic assemblies, as well as the motion behaviors of swarming magnetic nanorobots. Their applications are also demonstrated in sensing detection, anti-counterfeiting and precision medicine for targeted theranostic of thrombus and tumors.
