Biography:

Prof. Fudi Wang is currently serving as a Vice President of University of South China (USC), Dean of Hengyang Medical School at USC, and Qiushi Chair Professor at Zhejiang University School of Medicine in Hangzhou, China. Dr. Wang holds several high-profile national honors, including National High-level Personnel of Special Support Program, National Distinguished Young Scientist from China National Nature Science Foundation, Elsevier High-Cited Chinese Scholar. Dr. Wang’s research interests are mainly focused on elucidating molecular mechanisms of ferroptosis and iron metabolism. To date, he has published more than 190 articles (Citation 15 000, Cover papers 21, H-index 64) in peer-reviewed prestigious journals.

Abstract:

Prof. Fudi Wang is a well-recognized world leading “Iron Scientist” since he made a number of milestone discoveries in the field of iron metabolism, ferroptosis and human disease. His lecture will talk about the recent progress of iron metabolism, ferroptosis and the emerging science of Ferrology.
