HKU BSc Chemistry Major Student Received the Certificate for the Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award at the Award Presentation Ceremony held on 23 June 2021

CHEUNG So Yee Jasmine (BSc Chemistry Major, Year 3) received the Innovation and Technology Scholarship, which is jointly supported and sponsored by the Innovation and Technology Commission and HSBC, and organised by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), in 2020. Jasmine is awarded a scholarship of up to $150,000 with a full slate of support for acquiring cross-cultural experience. At the award presentation ceremony (click here for the link) held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centreon 23 June 2021, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mrs Carrie LAM, presented the certificates to the awardees in 2020 and 2021.

The Department of Chemistry strongly encourages our students to apply for this Scholarship to develop their potential. Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme usually opens for applications in October each year. It aims at recognizing outstanding non-final year local undergraduates whose curriculum or second major are in science-related, technology, engineering, dental and medical disciplines, by providing a scholarship and a series of elite training opportunities, in order to widen their international exposure, gain industry experience, and nurture their passion and commitment toward science and technology.
