According to QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings 2012, our Department ranks 9th in the world out of 200 universities in the subject area of chemistry! For the recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2014, our Department ranked No.1 among all chemistry departments in Hong Kong. We are proud of our long tradition of excellence in research and research training. Many of our postgraduate students have continued onto postdoctoral studies abroad, and/or very successful careers in industrial and academic positions world-wide.
