Professor Xuechen LI from HKU's Department of Chemistry Awarded RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) for 2023/24

Prof. XuechenLI has achieved outstanding results in the latest funding exercises by the Research Grants Council (RGC).

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Xuechen LI from the Department of Chemistry of The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has been recognised for his research excellence and innovation in the latest funding exercises by the Research Grants Council (RGC) Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) for the 2023/24 academic year.

The SRFS program is run by the Research Grants Council (RGC) and is aimed at providing sustained support to exceptional researchers at UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong. The scheme offers ten grants to scholars from any academic discipline in each round of the annual exercise, and nominees are assessed based on various criteria, including leadership quality, research proposal merit, and the support provided by the university. This award recognizes Professor LI's outstanding research achievements and leadership qualities in the field of chemistry, and is intended to help HKU attract and retain the brightest research talent.
